Silent Spring Warning:

This coming October, it will be 50 years ago that Rachel Carson wrote Silent Spring. In her book she offered a rather cryptic admonition for the time; however, over the last fifty years, her statement has become prophetic. She said "isn't it ironic to think that man might determine his own future by something so seemingly trivial as the choice of an insect spray."
