According to Pest Management Professional - October 2010, bed bugs are a real nightmare for apartment managers - some of whom have spent over a $100,000 in a single year but still have 50 to 90% infested units. Apartment managers complain they've hired and fired several pest management companies because none were able to control their bed bug problem.
One reason bed bug management has failed so miserably is apartments is because "control" has been approached on a unit-by-unit basis.
